Randomization Policy

At Trofee, trust, fairness, and transparency are essential to the buying and viewing experience. Any feature, sale format, or promotion that involves randomized outcomes must be operated clearly and honestly so participants understand how outcomes are determined. Randomization mechanics on Trofee are permitted solely for promotional purposes, such as building brand awareness or driving sales. Gambling, lottery-style activities, or chance-based mechanics designed for monetary gain independent of product value are strictly prohibited. This policy applies to all randomization mechanics on Trofee. Sellers and hosts are responsible for complying with these rules at all times. Violations, including deceptive or manipulative behavior, may result in enforcement actions up to and including permanent account bans. What Does the Randomization Policy Cover? Randomization refers to any mechanic where an outcome is determined, rather than by direct buyer selection, and is revealed afteran entry, purchase, or qualification action. This includes, but is not limited to: - Buyer Giveaways - Follower Giveaways - Surprise Packs streams - Box/Case breaks where spots, teams, players, characters, or numbers are randomly assigned 1. Buyer Giveaways Buyer giveaways are promotions where eligibility is tied to a purchase or a purchase threshold. Requirements - Eligibility rules must be clearly stated in advance (in About Show and in the Giveaway feature, once launched) - Giveaways must be treated strictly as promotional mechanics and the cost may not be partially or indirectly included in the inventories’ pricing. This means that giveaways must truly be free and therefore, for example: - You must not increase product prices to cover the cost of a giveaway - You must not hide giveaway costs in your product pricing, bundles, or margins - The price of the main product must stay the same with or without the giveaway - Giveaways should be offered as an extra benefit, not something customers pay for indirectly. - Winner selection must be fair and based only on the entry rules disclosed in advance. If entries are weighted (e.g., 1 entry per purchase or 1 entry per amount of money spent), the weighting method must be clearly disclosed and applied consistently to all participants. - Winner selection must occur on-stream using Trofee-approved randomization mechanics - Giveaways must be awarded during the stream in which they are announced and may not roll over to future streams - Multi-stream giveaways require prior written approval from the Trofee team - Giveaways must consist only of Trofee-approved products and may not be cash prizes - Buyer giveaways may not be used in a misleading way to imply guaranteed rewards beyond what is disclosed Sell-out buyer giveaways are permitted, provided all requirements above are met. 2. Follower Giveaways Follower giveaways are promotions open to viewers who meet non-purchase criteria, such as following a seller or attending a livestream. Requirements - Eligibility criteria must be clearly communicated in advance - Entry conditions may not change once the giveaway has begun - Winner selection must occur on-stream using Trofee-approved randomization mechanics - Giveaways must consist only of Trofee-approved products and may not be cash prizes 3. Surprise Packs Surprise Packs involve purchasing an entry where the specific item received is determined through random selection and revealed after participation. These formats must operate with full transparency so buyers clearly understand what they are purchasing. 3.1 Transparency & Show Disclosure - Every available product must be clearly listed and described in the About Show section - All possible outcomes must be disclosed before the stream begins - The show must be disclosed as a Surprise Packs stream in all in-app and marketing content - Use of wheel-based imagery, terminology, or naming is not permitted 3.2 Pricing & Fair Market Value (FMV) Surprise Packs sold at a fixed price must reflect Fair Market Value (FMV). - Spot prices must align with the price at which the seller would normally sell the product outside of a Surprise Packs format - If spots are sold via auction, the auction starting price may not exceed FMV - Spot prices may not be increased to account for giveaways, prizes, or promotional items Note: Pricing products significantly above FMV, coupled with a prize-winning opportunity, constitutes a lottery, which is not allowed on Trofee. Any promotional prizes (e.g. buyer giveaway or follower giveaway) included must be treated strictly as a marketing or promotional expense. 3.3 Product Category & FMV Calculation - All products included must belong to the same product category (e.g., Pokémon products may not be mixed with One Piece products or jerseys) - FMV must be based on the lowest-value product in the pool - Use of average pricing to justify FMV is not permitted 3.4 Prize Spots & Promotional Items If prize spots or promotional items are included: - They must serve a clear promotional purpose (e.g., brand awareness or sales growth) - Prize spots must be treated the same as giveaways for compliance and accounting purposes, where their cost may not be partially or indirectly included in the inventories’ pricing. If prize or giveaway spots are placed within repacks: - Repacks must be fully sealed (eg: shrink wrapping is a proof that an item is sealed) - Repacks must remain visible on screen at all times 3.5 Randomization & Outcome Reveal - Outcomes must be determined using Trofee-approved randomization mechanics - Results must be revealed live and transparently during the stream - The randomization process must be visible and verifiable to viewers 3.6 Outcome Integrity - Sellers may not modify, remove, substitute, or add outcomes once the stream has started - Participants must receive exactly the item revealed through randomization 4. Split Multi-Box / Case Breaks (Teams, Players, Characters, Numbers) Split box and case breaks involve opening sealed products where participants are randomly assigned teams, players, characters, or numbers to fairly share the cost of sealed products. 4.1 Break Format & Disclosure Before any purchase occurs, sellers must clearly and accurately disclose all material details of the break, including: - Break type (e.g. teams, players, characters, numbers) - All assignable listings, defined and finalized in advance of the stream - The number of boxes or cases included in the break - A complete and verifiable checklist of all possible listings, limited strictly to items that are officially licensed and eligible to appear in the sealed products being opened Only listings that are legitimately available within the sealed product checklist may be offered or assigned. Listings may not be added, removed, substituted, or implied after sales have begun. If a certain team/player/character/number is not inside the products, the customer must still receive products or cards. 4.2 Visibility & Stream Integrity - All boxes or cases must be visible on screen prior to opening - Breaks must be conducted live and fully on camera - Boxes may not be removed, substituted, or opened off-stream 4.3 Random Assignment Requirements - Assignments must be conducted fairly and visibly - Only Trofee-approved randomization mechanics may be used - Assignments may not be altered or repeated once completed 4.4 Platform-Only & Single-Session Rules - All breaks must be executed entirely on Trofee - Breaks may not span multiple shows or resume in future streams - Entries, spots, or packs may not be sold off-platform 4.5 Prohibited Participation & Related Parties Sellers may not allow related parties to participate, including: - Household members - Family members or close relatives - Employees, contractors, or moderators - Users operating shared, affiliated, or proxy accounts This includes indirect participation via third parties. 4.6 Fulfillment of Outcomes - All cards or items must be distributed exactly according to assigned outcomes - No substitutions, swaps, or reassignments are permitted 5. General Rules for All Randomized Mechanics Across all formats: - Prizes and giveaways must be purely promotional - Outcomes must be determined by genuine randomization - Sellers may not manipulate results or misrepresent odds - Products must be offered at FMV, and participants must always receive the revealed outcome - Any attempt to deceive buyers or viewers is strictly prohibited 6. Enforcement Trofee actively monitors randomized mechanics to protect users and platform integrity. Violations may result in: - Warnings or temporary restrictions - Removal of livestreams, listings, or giveaways - Permanent suspension of seller accounts in serious or repeated cases - Viewers can report any violations to [email protected]

Card Break Guidelines

Eligibility to Conduct Card Breaks - Only approved sellers in the Sports and Trading Card categories can conduct Card Breaks. - All sellers can offer personal card openings ("Rip-and-Ship") for individual buyers Rules for Conducting Card Breaks on Trofee - Continuous On-Screen Visibility: All aspects of a Card Break (including the sealed product, tools, and actions such as card handling) must remain visible on-screen from the moment the item is opened until the break concludes. You may use multiple camera angles to ensure all items are in view. For example, avoid removing packs or cards from the view of the camera, as this may result in policy violations. - Break Details in Listings: Break rules must be clearly posted in the item description or Show Notes. Specify terms for card distribution (e.g., which cards are classified as “base” or “bulk” and whether they will be sent to buyers). Example format: “Full case team break: Buyers select a team, and cards matching that team are sent to them. Bulk cards are excluded.” - Card Breaks Are Limited to Cards Only: Items such as jerseys, helmets, or other memorabilia cannot be part of a Card Break. If you plan to offer memorabilia, consider running a Mystery Box show that complies with Trofee’s Mystery rules. Card Break Standards - Guaranteed Cards for All Buyers: One Card Minimum Per Buyer: Each buyer in a break must receive at least one card per purchase, regardless of break outcome. - Break Types: For guaranteed breaks (e.g., hit drafts), only auction as many spots as there are cards in the break. For other formats (e.g., team breaks where specific teams may not appear in a break), ensure that each buyer receives at least one card. - One Show Per Break: No Multi-Show Breaks: All products in a Card Break must be opened within a single live show. You cannot split a Card Break across multiple shows or pre-sell spots off the Trofee platform. - Avoid Conflicts of Interest: Family members, household members, or employees of the seller are not allowed to participate in the seller’s Card Breaks. They may observe but cannot bid or buy. Frequently Asked Questions on Card Breaks - What are Card Breaks? Card Breaks involve opening sealed card products with unknown contents and distributing the cards among multiple buyers based on a defined format (e.g., team or division breaks). This differs from “rip-and-ship” where a product is opened for a single buyer. - Who can run Card Breaks on Trofee? Eligible sellers who meet Trofee’s standards for TCG and Sports Card categories may conduct Card Breaks. All breaks must comply with visibility, card-only content, and single-show policies. - What happens if a card goes off-screen during the show? Sellers are responsible for maintaining continuous visibility of all items. If an item is accidentally off-frame, sellers must honor refund requests if buyers raise concerns. - How should sellers handle unsold spots in a Card Break? If some spots don’t sell, sellers can hold these spots for future breaks as long as the sealed product has not been opened. Sellers should avoid canceling sold spots due to insufficient sales, as this may lead to account actions. - Why must all items remain on-screen? Transparency in Card Breaks ensures buyers see all items as they are opened, fostering trust and ensuring a fair experience. Multi-angle setups are permitted but must keep the sealed products in view throughout. - Can I offer non-card items in Card Breaks? Card Breaks are limited to cards only. Memorabilia or mixed packages are not permitted in Card Breaks. To sell these items, consider using the Mystery Box format, which has its own guidelines on Trofee. - Can singles be auctioned off within a Card Break? Yes, singles may be auctioned after or before a Card Break but must follow all Trofee listing and visibility rules. - What is a compliant camera setup for Card Breaks? Any camera configuration that keeps all items visible in real-time is compliant. Single or multiple cameras are acceptable as long as they ensure full visibility. - Are there restrictions on the type of items in Card Breaks? Only trading cards are permitted in Card Breaks. Non-card items, even if professionally packaged, should follow Trofee’s Mystery Box rules if they are to be included in a sale. - What constitutes a “related bidder”? Related bidders are defined as anyone in the same household, family members, or employees of the seller. These individuals may observe the stream but cannot actively participate by bidding or buying.
